have you any idea what this reply from Bromley (in reply to a request for a Planning Application Consultation letter) means?
thanks for your help! Megan
Thank you for your email.
If you have submitted representations in connection with a planning application please ensure that you have included your full address and the application reference number. Your correspondence will be acknowledged in writing and then passed to the case officer to be kept on the application file and considered as part of the decision making process.
If you have included an attachment with your email please note that we can only accept attachments in PDF or Word format.
If you have submitted an informal enquiry regarding the need for planning permission please note that the legislation relating to permitted development for householders significantly changed on 1st October 2008. In order to assess proposals against the new permitted development rules a site visit and legal clarification will be required in the majority of cases, and the Planning Division are unable to give informal views on the telephone or in writing as to whether planning permission is required for householder proposals.
To establish whether planning permission is required for a householder proposal, it is advised that an application for a Certificate of Lawfulness for a proposed development be submitted, a procedure which will provide a formal notice and enable proper assessment of proposals for which a fee is payable. Further information regarding Certificate of Lawfulness applications is available on the planning pages of the Council’s website http://www.bromley.gov.uk/environment/planning or on the national Planning Portal website at http://www.planningportal.gov.uk.
For other planning information including access to planning application forms, the Unitary Development Plan, Supplementary Planning Guidance and Plans Sub Committee meeting dates please refer to the planning pages on the Council’s web site http://www.bromley.gov.uk/environment/planning

It is good to see that at last Crystal Palace is taking off, slowly becoming a centre of some cultural value. It will take time, but it seems to be happening, thanks of course to those who are pro-active on behalf of the community. Too many people here have to travel elsewhere for entertainment or cultural activities of any sort. Theatre, concerts and cinema would enhance life here and in the surrounding area, so yes, I would like to see a “good” cinema here, and like that I wouldn’t have to go to Brixton or Clapham.
